A brief introduction of quartz sleeve tubes
The quartz sleeve tube is an indispensable component of water treatment equipment in ultraviolet disinfection systems. Its primary function is to protect the lamp and ensure the transmittance of ultraviolet light.
The role of quartz sleeve tubes in water treatment sterilization
In the field of ultraviolet disinfection applications, quartz sleeve tubes are typically used in the ultraviolet disinfection of water treatment. They are utilized to isolate water and ultraviolet lamps, while maintaining the efficacy of the lamps, due to their inherent resistance to water pressure. The most commonly utilized diameters of quartz sleeve tubes are 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, 31mm, and so forth. The length of tubes is determined according to the specific requirements. At the same time, quartz sleeve tubes can also be used for explosion-proof installation during the ultraviolet lamps air disinfection process.
The typical recommendation for the cleaning of quartz sleeve tubes is once or twice a year, whereby a gauze impregnated with alcohol may be used to wipe the tubes. In cases where the apparatus is an open channel ultraviolet steriliser, or an overflow ultraviolet steriliser that comprises a considerable number of lamps, the cleaning function can be optionally selected for more convenient cleaning.
The processing of quartz sleeve tubes
Quartz glass is manufactured from natural crystalline quartz (crystal or pure silica) or synthetic silane through the process of high-temperature melting.
The performance of quartz glass is contingent upon its purity, as even trace impurities can have a considerable impact on the properties of the material. The second factor influencing the quality of quartz glass is the manufacturing process or thermal system employed. Even minor deviations from optimal conditions can result in a significant decrease in the appearance quality of quartz sleeve tubes, leading to the generation of a considerable quantity of defective products.
Additionally, the tube opening of the quartz sleeve tubes must be subjected to annealing process. Quartz glass is brittle, and any error in the process will result in the loss of the entire previous effort. These factors contribute to the higher cost of quartz sleeve tubes.
