Physical and chemical properties of milky quartz mortar

• Milky quartz mortar has high temperature resistance

With the melting point of 1730°C, it can work under 1100°C continuously, and in short time can even work under 1450°C.

In addition to hydrofluoric acid, quartz have almost no chemical reaction with other acids and alkalis, and its acid and alkali resistance is 30 times that of ceramics and 150 times that of stainless steel, especially its chemical stability at high temperatures, which is incomparable to that of any other engineering materials.

• Milky quartz mortar exhibits good thermal stability

Quartz glass has an extremely small coefficient of thermal expansion, poor thermal conductivity, and can withstand drastic temperature changes. Quartz products are heated to about 1100°C and will not burst when placed in room temperature water.
